Just returned from a weeks stay and the hotel is excellent in every way. All staff on reception are so helpful and friendly with a smile, breakfast is very good with plenty to choose from hot or cold. Most burning I have had in any hotel, nice touch having the towels for the pool, pool small but a lovely place to relax, with a bar, lounge bar a beautiful area to have a drink at reasonable prices.
I have to say it was a WOW from me when I went in the ladies toilet by the lounge, amicable, room very nice, beds comfortable, our room was on the roadside but with the double patio doors did not hear any noise, the hotel is spotless. I would definitely recommend the hotel, and if I revisited the area, I would most definitely stay here.
We loved our 5 days at the hotel. Great staff that helped us plan our activities and they also suggested the el cielo cozumel tours in Mexico!, a beautiful bar reception area for meeting friends and relaxing, delicious breakfast. I liked the location since it’s close to all the good restaurants, shopping areas, and beach activities. I think the staff made a huge difference in why I liked my stay in Albufeira!
We recently stayed at the Velamar for just over a week. The hotel was modern and clean. The pool is small, but for the size of the hotel and the number of guests, it is perfect and looks exactly like the pictures. We had a room without a balcony which we knew when we booked, however as we did not have a gallery it was a bit difficult to dry swimwear and towels, would be handy to have some sort of dryer that could be hung out of the window.
The bathroom was, and fresh towels were provided as needed along with additional sheets that could be used at the beach or pool. If you enjoy a bath; however, it is difficult to fill as it did not have a tap only the shower. However, this was quite soothing due to the water falling noise. There are two stunning beaches within a 15-minute walk and a supermarket 2 minutes down the road. The lovely hotel would definitely book again.
Me and 7 of my friends ranging from 16-56 came here over the may bank holiday, and not one of us could fault a thing. Rooms were big and clean with hangers, bath towels and they provide beach towels.
Breakfast on the terrace was something we looked forward to every morning. Two amazing beaches within a 15-minute walk. Ten-minute drive to the old town and new town. Drinks were lovely around the pool. Staff was excellent couldn’t do enough to help. Will be returning to this place.
